Home of the Spanish-Speaking Women’s Cancer Initiative.
LC4 agencies work individually and collaboratively to support a cohesive set of strategies that are coordinated in order to provide a seamless continuum of care for underserved Latinos with cancer and their families. The continuum of care ranges from programs designed to support access to screening, diagnosis, support and advanced care if needed. The interventions and services represent best practices in community cancer education, early detection and survivorship support. Services are culturally and linguistically competent – provided and supported by bilingual, bicultural staff and volunteers – and designed particularly to address the needs of low income, isolated or underserved Latinos. Services and programs are delivered in the heart of communities, in neighborhoods, churches, community settings, in homes, at community health centers, local hospitals.
