About Us

Founding Partners

The founding members of LC4 and collaborative partners of the Spanish-Speaking Women’s Cancer Initiative are six agencies that offer free or low cost cancer-related programs to disadvantaged, Spanish-speaking women and their families in Contra Costa County. The agencies are linked to provide a breadth of services and programs that meet the specific needs of Spanish-speaking, low income women and their families. Each agency has fully qualified bilingual, bicultural staff. Their public-private grassroots level partnership has changed the way services are provided within the county healthcare system for Latinas with cancer as well as raised awareness in the community about the inequities in care for Latinos and the need for preventive screening.
